Cody Bellinger and the Los Angeles Dodgers agreed on a one-year, $17 million to avoid arbitration before the Dec. 1 lockout that has shut down Major League Baseball and frozen transactions, sources familiar with the agreement told ESPN.

The deal was not announced after the lockout, as teams are not referencing players by name during the work stoppage that has lasted more than three weeks and will stretch into the new year. 

The SSG Landers of the Korea Baseball Organization have signed Ivan Nova to a contract with a $900,000 guarantee that could be worth up to $1 million.

It's the maximum allowed for a foreign-born player under KBO rules.

Nova, who turns 35 next month, last pitched in the Major Leagues with the Detroit Tigers in 2020.

The New York Yankees have agreed to a Minor League contract with reliever Jimmy Cordero, according to a report.

Cordero, 30, was eligible to sign a Minor League deal because he was outrighted off the Chicago White Sox’s 40-man roster at the end of the season.

The San Diego Padres have signed Nomar Mazara to a Minor League contract with an invitation to spring training.

Mazara was eligible to sign a minors deal during the lockout because he didn’t finish the 2021 season on a club's 40-man roster or Major League injured list.

He was released by the Detroit Tigers in June.

Matt Andriese has agreed to a contract with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball, according to a report.

Andriese, 32, opted for free agency at the end of September after being designated for assignment by the Seattle Mariners.

The right-hander split the 2021 season between the Boston Red Sox and Mariners.

The Colorado Rockies have agreed to a Minor League deal with utility player Tim Lopes.

Lopes, 27, has appeared in 94 games over the last three Major League seasons.

At one point this offseason, the Detroit Tigers offered Carlos Correa a 10-year, $275 million deal.

The assumption is the offer came before Detroit signed Javier Baez to a six-year, $140 million pact.

Correa is believed to have received a five-year, $160 million offer from the Houston Astros just prior to free agency.

Freddy Galvis has signed a two-year deal with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Japan.

The club confirmed the length of the deal, but declined to provide financial details.

Galvis, 32, played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles in the 2021 season.

The Seattle Mariners are expected to pursue rotation help after the Major League Baseball lockout, according to a report.

Seattle already added Robbie Ray in free agency on a five-year, $115 million deal.

Behind Ray, the Mariners have Chris Flexen, Marco Gonzales and Logan Gilbert in the starting rotation.

Mike Tauchman has signed a one-year deal to play for the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization.

He will make $1 million next season, the league's maximum salary for a foreign-born player.

Tauchman played an unexpectedly large role for the New York Yankees in 2019.

The 31-year-old appeared in 257 big-league games over the last five seasons. Over that time, he batted .231/.326/.378 (89 OPS+) with 17 home runs and 17 stolen bases.
